Griffin Thomas

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 24, 2026. This policy describes how information is handled on griffinbthomas.com, Griffin Thomas’s personal website.

Information you provide

Newsletter: If you subscribe, the signup form asks for your email address and first name. Subscriptions are processed through Mailchimp so that Griffin can send newsletter updates. Older forms also included an optional phone field. The rebuilt newsletter form does not request a phone number. Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter to stop those emails. See Intuit’s Global Privacy Statement for information about Mailchimp’s handling of data.

Contact inquiries: If you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message are used to review and respond to the inquiry. The site’s form services may retain the submission and process technical information for delivery and spam prevention. Sending a contact message does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Comments: Where comments are available, the information entered in the comment form, along with technical data such as IP address and browser information, may be processed to display the comment and detect spam. Public comments can be visible to other visitors. An anonymized string derived from an email address may be supplied to Gravatar to determine whether a profile image is available. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.

Hosting, security, and measurement

The website uses WordPress.com and Jetpack services provided by Automattic. Hosting, security, anti-spam, and site statistics services can process information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, pages visited, referring pages, and timestamps. These services support operation of the website and measurement of how it is used. See Automattic’s Privacy Notice for visitors to users’ sites.

The website also uses Google measurement tools through Site Kit, including Google Analytics. These services may use cookies or similar technologies to help understand website visits and interactions. For more information, see how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services. Google provides a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

Cookies and embedded content

Cookies and similar technologies may be used for site operation, security, statistics, saved preferences, comments, and advertising. You can manage cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies may affect some features. Where a consent or privacy choice is presented, you can use that control to manage the applicable processing.

Articles may contain embedded YouTube videos and other third-party material. Interacting with an embed can allow its provider to receive information about your visit and use cookies or similar technologies according to its own policies. External links take you to websites that follow their own privacy practices.

Google advertising

The website is connected to Google AdSense for review and potential advertising. Connection does not mean that Google has approved the site or that ads are currently being served.

When Google advertising is served, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center. You can also learn about participating vendors’ advertising choices at the Digital Advertising Alliance’s consumer choice page. See Google’s information about advertising technologies. Advertising and personalization depend on availability, visitor location, and applicable privacy choices.

Sharing and retention

Information is processed by the service providers needed to host the site, deliver subscriptions and inquiries, measure usage, prevent abuse, and provide the features described above. Those providers may process information in countries different from your own.

Newsletter information is retained to manage subscriptions and related preferences. Contact messages, comments, and technical records may be retained for correspondence, site administration, spam prevention, security, and applicable obligations. Retention and deletion can also be affected by service-provider systems and backups.

Your requests

To ask about information you have submitted, request a correction, or request deletion where applicable, use the contact page and identify the relevant interaction. Please do not include sensitive identity documents in the initial message. Requests may require verification before records can be changed or disclosed.

Future community

Paid community enrollment is not currently open. Details about membership accounts, payments, call participation, events, and any associated data handling will need to be provided before those features launch.

Changes to this policy

This page may be updated as the website and its services change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
